There has been rumors around that IBA MBA circular is out. I just checked the IBA website and found this is actually a rumor so far. Nevertheless, it can officially be out anytime so today's post is about IBA MBA Admission test!
Let's start with the book recommendations . Again, this is only personal recommendations from my experience so far, it can vary across people. But remember: You don't need to go through a lot of books rather you should study a few books but very thoroughly.
Recommended Books:
Math: Mentor's Math Q Bank, Mentor's MBA Guide (math exercises from the chapters and previous years' questions)
_______________ ______
English: Barron's SAT for vocabs, Cliff's TOEFL for grammar, MBA guide for overall practice and question solving of previous years; You should try the GRE books I uploaded in this group for reading comprehension questions as the structure is same. Solve Princeton review, McGoosh and GRE general test guide. Solving vocabs questions from these GRE books will also give you an edge.
_______________ ______
Analytical: For puzzle GRE Big book (the only thing you will probably get common from any book at IBA exam!); for critical reasoning questions MBA guidebook is good enough but for extra practice you can try the GRE books. There are critical reasoning questions in the verbal section of GRE.

Question Pattern of IBA MBA Admission test:
I guess most of you guys already know this, so I'm summing up this briefly: 75 MCQs (30 math, 30 english, 15 analytical) to be answered in 90 mins. Then there will be a 30 minute session where you will need to write 2-3 composition/ paragraphs/ aeguments etc. The writing section is not that tough. You just need to exhibit that you possess well structured writing skill. (If you want to know detail on the writing part let me know in comments, I'm not making this post big here elaborating on this part)

General study guideline:
Like GRE, IBA MBA English section is also heavily filled with vocab related questions. My personal recommendation is that for ideal vocab prep you should learn all vocabs from Barron's SAT 50 vocab lists.. Cliff's toefl is the bible of grammar! Study this one very thoroughly, practice all exercises and tests.. Practice reading comprehension questions from GRE books and MBA guide, speed up your reading pace. For details on reading tactics, follow my GRE verbal section post. For analytical puzzles, solve as many puzzles you can from GRE big book. Ideally you should solve all but if you don't have much time, focus less on this and don't go for all rather solve as many as required for giving you the confidence that you can reasonably crack puzzles.. IBA math is not any rocket science.. It is again all class 9/10 or O level math stuffs.. Just you need to do this here very quick without the help of any calculator. So learn shortcuts, practice a lot to pace up.. And you should solve as many previous year questions as you can and this is applicable for both math and English..

Exam Strategy:
It is always advisable to start with the section you are best at.. And remember, you need to score a minimum % in all the sections.. Also, for a good shot, you should aim at scoring 60% at least in all 3 sections (after neg marking) and at least 22+ in one of English and math section.. This will give you a very good edge.. I started with Math first.. Answered 25 questions at a strech in around 30 mins.. Then went for English section and answered all 30 in around 25-30 mins.. Then answered 13 questions out of 15 in the analytical section in 20 mins and spent the last minutes in answering the left over questions from math.. I followed this path to as math was my forte and I wanted to ensure a minimum 60-70% too in the other sections.. You can customize your strategy according to your strengths.
